The picture illustrates the difference between the two clubs at the time close to the Masters tourney. Obviously Augusta National is over-seeded and crazy green and Augusta Country club is transitioning from dormant warm season turf. I'm sure the Augusta Country Club is an amazing course especially during the months when Augusta National is closed. You think you got it bad? Your members can't physically see Augusta National every time they play your course!
I have also come across some other courses that would be challenging to work at because of their high profile neighbors.
Oakmont Heights Golf Course
I can't imagine working at this course looking over the fence at the famous Oakmont Country Club. And it would have only gotten worse as their tree removal program progressed. It's one thing to see what huge budget operations are doing online, but to have it rubbed in your face daily as you push your broken fairway mower back to the shop would be too much!

Times look tough at Oakmont Heights. It appears that 9 holes have been left to go to pasture! |

At least they don't have to physically look at their high profile neighbors! |

I think there's 9 holes in there somewhere? Sigh |

It would be rough to be a no 8 ranked course in America right next to the 4 ranked course. What the hell are they doing over there that makes them so great anyway!? hahaha |
During the Masters week if you feel pressure from your membership just think, it could be worse! If you have more examples of similar course situations please share in the comments below!
